Kriste Fisher is a performer, vocal director, and voice teacher specializing in musical theater performance and vocal confidence. She studied Musical Theater and Voice at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in Los Angeles, where she trained extensively in voice, acting, and dance, and later earned an Associate of Science in Business Management from San Jose City College. With over a decade of experience as an individual voice coach, Kriste brings both artistic insight and educational intention to every student and production she supports. Her teaching approach centers on creating a safe, supportive space where students can build technique, confidence, and joy through singing. Kriste believes that everyone can sing; they just need the opportunity to explore and grow in an environment that celebrates their voice.
Kriste has served as Vocal Director, Assistant Vocal Director, and Vocal Captain for productions with organizations including San Jose City College, Stage Presence, San Pedro Theatre Club, Humanities and Arts Academy, and The Troup. Her vocal directing credits include The Secret Garden Jr., Sam Shovel, Private Eye, for which she also composed original choral arrangements, Broadway Cabaret, Fractured Broadway, Descendants, Annie Kids, and Little Shop of Horrors. As Assistant Vocal Director, she coached ensemble and solo work for SIX: Teen Edition, Descendants, Something Rotten, and Mean Girls, supporting young performers in developing healthy technique, confidence, and storytelling skills.
In addition to her directing work, Kriste is an accomplished performer, having appeared in productions such as Guys and Dolls, Pippin, Oklahoma!, FAME, Wonderful Town, and Carousel, as well as cabaret and revue performances throughout Southern and Northern California. She has been recognized as a semi-finalist for the Jerry Herman Awards at the Pantages Theatre and has performed as a featured soloist in showcases, competitions, and national anthem engagements nationwide.
