Heeyoung Choi began her musical career at the age of six. She studied in arts school and performed in numerous repertoires. She earned Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees in music. She has taught a wide range of students and seeks to help students foster musicality as well as a solid technical foundation. Based on her various experience as a soloist, chamber musician, conductor, and composer, she specializes in preparing for ABRSM exam, competition and recitals for solo and ensemble performances. Her teaching emphasizes incorporating basic musicianship such as music theory, music history, and aural training into instrumental performance.
