Carmen McKinstry is a professional Opera Singer and a graduate of University of Guadalajara in Guadalajara Mexico, with a Bachelors of Music Instruction. During her musical education she also participated in intensive voice and performance seminars with University of Texas at Austin and Peabody Conservatory of The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.

Ms. McKinstry has had orchestral engagements with the Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra, Nuevo Leon Symphony Orchestra, Nuevo Leon Youth Orchestra, Guanajuato Symphony Orchestra, Monterrey Metropolitan Opera, and was featured on the Patron of the Arts Concerts Series in Brownsville, Texas.

She has performed throughout Mexico, Central America, United States and Europe.

She also has recorded under CONARTE and has additionally toured for Fujimoto Promotions A.C. in the Czech Republic.

From 2004 to 2011 she was part of the soloists ensemble “Bel Canto of South Texas”.

Currently she lives in San Jose, CA with her husband and two children.
