Singers – Protect Your Voice

Vocal cords are muscles that need gradual conditioning and like other muscles, can lose elasticity due to age, misuse, or lack of use. Here are some tips to prevent hoarseness, broken blood vessels, cysts, nodules, or permanent damage to the vocal cords.

Use Your Voice Correctly: Support your speaking voice with proper breathing and posture, always warm up before you start singing, don’t push to get the high notes, don’t strain your voice by yelling, coughing, and singing too loudly for too long.
